A bereavement doula provides emotional, physical, and informational support to individuals and families who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
Bereavement Support:
Your doula will provide in-person support during miscarriage, delivery, or abortion. Will provide birth support, emotional support, and educational support. Will provide guidance while navigating grief. This can include providing information on grief and loss, helping with funeral planning, and providing resources for ongoing support.
It is my hope to help you not only celebrate your child, but your grief as well. I want to take the focus off of the process and allow you to be present in the moment.
Provides emotional, physical, and informational support to individuals or couples who are in the process of adopting a child or considering adoption for their child. An adoption doula provides support for all members of the triad.
Support: Provide guidance and support. This can include helping with paperwork, providing resources, referrals to other professionals, making phone calls, and interacting with adoption professionals,
Preparation: Providing education and support around topics like attachment, bonding, types of adoption, parenting techniques.
Emotional support: Provide emotional support, to adoptive and birth families and help bridge the gap between parents and expecting/birth parents. Develop birth plan and provide birth support to expecting parents.
